Marri is a tree and type of wood that is unique to Western Australia, as so many things are, to Australia that is. This tribute to the trees is from a sketch made during a drawing session with the 'drawing ladies', a group of women that invited me into their lives while I was in Australia. That was a few years ago...2006.
